Had a great stay for four nights. Very friendly staff, great room and selction of barfood. Could not fault the hotel at all and would (and have) recommended the hotel to family, friends & employees.

I stayed here at the end of July with 4 of my girlfriends for a girly break away. A spa treatment was included as part of our package, so we went for a swim first to cure the hangover and then headed to ...
the spa. I chose a back, neck and shoulder massage for my treatment and it was fab! The relaxation room in the C-Spa is something else and we all felt really pampered. One of our friends lives nearby, and she had hoped that she could book into the spa on the day, but it was booked up for the whole weekend, so I’d definitely recommend to book in advance! The rooms were lovely, the food was delicious, and we had a great laugh in the bar. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pamper break for the girls. ---

My wife and I decided to stay in the Carlton Shearwater Hotel on Saturday night. We have a 18 month old baby with us and the hotel & staff were extremely accomodating to all our 'Baby' needs. We got a ...
quiet room with a clean cot. The leisure facility is really well set-up for infants with little kiddies pool. The staff were really friendly and over all it was a good experience. ---

We tried the Carlton Shearwater in Ballinasloe for our sales conference this year and it worked out really well. The location is great, only 1 hour and 45 mins from Dublin. The hotel’s conference ...
co-ordinator made life really easy and all the technical stuff worked a dream, which was a relief! Accommodation is excellent and the buffet lunch really suited us so that people could finish up at 4pm and get on the road early. Ballinasloe isn’t the prettiest part of Ireland, but as a conference venue, I would highly recommend the Shearwater. There’s lots of parking and the conference facilities are really excellent. We will definitely return next year. ---

Well run hotel, great for a family weekend |

Just back from a family weekend break at the Carlton Shearwater, Ballinasloe The hotel is very nice, clean, well kept and up to date. I booked a massage and the spa was really lovely. It books up fast ...
however, so make to get your appointment before you arrive. We were lucky and got a cancellation. The restaurant service and food was excellent, a nice surprise as usually, I don’t expect great things from hotel restaurants, but this one is an exception. I would recommend for a family break,, the leisure centre is perfect for kids and was great for keeping our two little ones happy as it poured rain all weekend! The baby sitting service worked out very well too. All round good experience.
