As staying in has become the new going out, the demand for good cook books has risen as we all strive to save the pennies. Entertaining friends and family in the comfort of your own home can help save money but this can also put pressure on you the host to cook a meal which can be a daunting and scary process.

Andrew Ryan, executive chef at the Carlton Shearwater, and his team in the kitchen have undertaken the hard work for you by writing the “Cooking with Andrew Ryan” cook book. The book's recipes are easy to follow and with each recipe is a photograph showing what the dish looks like. The recipes are for tried and tested home dishes but with a twist to give the feel of restaurant dining. The extra hints and tips found in the book are invaluable and are little bits of information you will use time and time again in other dishes as it gives a good insight on how to prepare and cook dishes in a variety of new ways.

For every book sold we will make a €2 donation to the Stargazer Lily Foundation, a local Ballinasloe charity which raises much needed money for cancer research and also the Jack & Jill Foundation which provides direct funding to families of children with brain damage, enabling them to purchase home respite care.
